Reading a lesson before dying in class

For a few days now, in English class we’ve been reading the book ‘A Lesson Before Dying’ by Ernest J. Gaines. The book is remarkable, and I like it. It shows and depicts the struggles of blacks during times of racism and segregation. Well, today we started watching the movie, featuring Don Cheadle as Grant. I’m a fan of Don Cheadle’s work and his philanthropy throughout Africa. In a way I sort of look up to him, I just wanted to address that, as well as to tell you to go check out the book ‘A Lesson Before Dying’.

P.S. The documentary “Darfur Now,” has to be seen. It’s time to wake up America! To quit relying on the government to make change, and get up off your asses and do something about it!
