Kanye West Glow In The Dark Tour
This morning to days after the concert, I was listening to ‘Good Morning’ by Kanye West from his ‘Graduation’ album. I finally decided today I was going to post my critic about the concert, and the images etc. It was a very very exciting concert, and I had fun. That could sum it up, but ‘you’ readers want the details and the photos.
Well I had great seating, I paid $70 dollars and got floor seating with a perfect view. Entry was easy. A lot of Kanye wannabes everywhere, and of course Kanye West fans such as myself.
The first show was Lupe Fiasco with Mathew Santos singing. It was awesome, Lupe was amazing. The lights and everything were amazing, I cant quit remember what songs he performed but it was from all of his albums. Lupe Fiasco is an amazing artist and will have a great future in the music business.
Next was N.E.R.D., they were… alright. There music is a bit disturbing and I’m not a fan of the lyrics. I’m not a hater, just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean that I hate it. It was just alright. There music is somewhat like rock with no rhythm or melody. Just loud horrible music with horrible lyrics. They sounded much like Limp Bizkit stoned, with no rhythm, or anything.
Then there was Rhianna, when she came on I decided to see from were my friend was. He was sitting a bit high but it was alright. I don’t know much about Rhianna, but she was alright. The only problem was, is that my friends seat was surrounded by gays. Not that I have anything against gays, but they were loud and too gay. Dancing like girls, singing like girls, makes me kinda sick. That’s not the way a man was made to be. But anyways, I almost went def from all the screaming, only to find out that ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’ is the gay anthem. Eventually the big buff black gay stopped dancing and I left quickly back to my floor seat.
Through the performances there was breaks, time for the next artist to setup on stage. I met up with my friends and we walked around the arena. I saw sexy women, more Kanye wannabes, some guy who looked exactly like will smith from ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ wearing exactly the same thing will smith did in the show… the purple pants, the haircut, the works etc… Living proof the music and the television are probably the most influential things that exist on earth. Later we met and saw Anthony Hamilton, he arrived let but it was an absolute pleasure to meet him. Later I found out he only sat a few rows away from my seat, and got photos. He was swamped by people greeting him.
Finally Kanye West, wearing the hottest fashions that I’ve never seen, nor could keep up with. He was wearing something I’d never seen before. It was PHRESH as hell. His performance starts out with a large screen going through space, and an aurora of stars. Speeding up faster and faster. Then he appears in a space ship cockpit.
He had a magnificent entry. His whole performance was a story, he starts out on his space ship and crashes on an unknown planet. With songs from all of his albums to make up a story. Finally some shooting stars come and try to help him get off the planet, but in the end they failed. Finding himself stranded on the planet once more. He’s lonely, and “needs some pussy” - direct quote. This was the intro to the Gold Digger song. I laughed a little, because his space ship A.I. system tries to please him LOL. In the end, he discovers that he is the biggest star in the universe and finds the energy within himself to return to earth.
During one song he messes up and does a freestyle about Charlotte. Which was pretty neat. Overall the concert was excellent, I wish I could experience it again. Especially Kanye West’s performance which has me looking forward to developing the future.
The concert overall was magnificent, if the Glow In The Dark Tour is coming to a town near you, then I recommend buying a ticket and seeing it, it’s well worth it!
