Writing my college admissions essay, and getting recommendations

Posted on November 8th, 2008

Nothing has ever really scared me in life, I’m not sure why. Perhaps it is my ataraxia in life. So anyways, I’m writing my college admissions essay, and I want it to be good, I want it to be the best damn essay I ever wrote, but my mind is numb, and I have nothing, I want to touch the admissions office, and give them something they’ve never read from a prospective in their entire life’s. The grammar will be prefect, and the narrative will be perfect. My pre-life accomplishments, will seem like major accomplishments. I want to stun them surprise, adventure. My essay will be like reading a movie, so now I am researching. Writing out a time-line, and blueprint for my essay. Listening to calming music, and turning to the work of Chuck Palahniuk for inspiration and ideas. This is very hard to do when i can’t think straight though. I want to include the events that impacted my life, and describe the aftermath of the impact. Details, imperfection is perfection in God’s eye. I need help! If you can give me pointers on writing a good college admissions essay, please do in the comment box below! All support and pointers, I will gladly appreciate! I need my essay done before the 13th…

Now, onto recommendations, I have no recommendations so far, but I’m trying hard to get some. I have requested the mayor give me a recommendation since I worked on their website. She responded that she would, so I’m hoping I can get the recommendation soon. If anyone out there that knows me, and has a well developed name, could give me a recommendation for UNCA, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Times are hectic for me, and I’m nervous. My letter of acceptance is all I need right now.
