Secure Audio Format version 1.4 released!

Well another version of SAF has just been uploaded. This version has a few major changes, it has the workings of GUI, which is not yet accessible – but it now features an input output folder for conversions, and a SAF player which can play the SAF files.

I already have major plans for 1.5, 1.5 will have conversion selection, and multiple file conversions, and a better player!

Probably by 1.6 the GUI will be usable. Well check out the latest release of SAF! 1.4

First Unstable Release of cloudRealms MMORPG Game Engine

Yesterday I officially released the game engine that has been in active development for 2 months. The game engine, cloudRealms is an open source web based MMORPG game engine, licensed under the AGPL v3 which allows you to easily create your own 2D social RPG. It’s completely open source, and relies on no additional 3rd party browser plugins, even flash which leaves room for smart phone development. I have a lot of plans for the engine in the coming future. I just released the unstable, which is only 2 months worth of development.

PHP MMORPG Maker

I am currently working on an open source php mmorpg maker. It is coming along quite well, and I think it will be complete sometime this month or next month. I still need a name for the program, otherwise it is called phpMMORPGmaker for now. lol at the name. Anyways I am going to list just a few features it has, and a bit on how it works and how it looks. Oh with that note, there is another version of SAF to be released very soon. In fact it’s already complete I just have to package it. — Anyways I look forward to seeing what games people will make with this game maker once it is released.

My code for motor control using arduino and pulse width modulation

This is code I wrote which allows corresponding motors to either move forward or backward. Do not do both at the same time or you will short your board. Common sense, I have included pictures to show my setup. This setup uses the L293B Chip which I wired from a breadboard to my arduino. Check out the pics and code below.

Convert 4 bit to hexadecimal number using Arduino and a 7 segment LED

This code will take a 4 bit input from switches and convert it to a hexadecimal number to be displayed using the 7 seg led. For example, there will be for switches if one is pushed depending on where it will display the corresponding number, an unpressed switched is 0, when the switch is pressed it becomes 1.
So in this example: switch1, switch2, switch3, switch4 looks like 0,0,0,1 = So a 1 will be displayed by the 7 segment LED. Here is my code below,use it as you wish.

ZocialNET 1.3

In 1.3 the ZocialNET OS will be introduced, and the user interface will be updated to a more lightweight and compact version, there will be security enabled, a virus scanner, a virtual hard drive, a user management system, and desktop preferences. The OS system will either be flat file or MySQL database. The dock will be removed, and the window systems will be faster. The navigation system will flaunt a new sleek design and system.

So I did this in a nerf gun mod competition at my school, and I took first place for best look. Has a built in light. Honestly I didn’t get ti finish it, or make it how I originally wanted due to the lack of resources and money, like most government projects. No resources and no money.

My 85′ Celica Supra MK2 Project

Alright, so I got a pretty good deal on an 85 Celica Supra MK2, the body is in great condition, absolutely no rust! Which is a good thing. It runs, and all it needs is a seatbelt, and a tune up. Later I need to get a new exhaust system-muffler (MagnaFlow pref.), a new bumper. Soon I will get some work done tot he body, fixing minor bumps, dents, and paint job. I’ll be getting the gold on black like the 82′ Celica Supra.

Here are some photos of my Celica, it looks pretty rough, but soon the car will begin to transform in to what I dream.

IT’S BEEN A WHILE…

It’s been a while since my last post. I guess I just didn’t have the time. My schedules been insane I guess, well… not entirely. I’ve been watching a lot of anime lol! Working out at the Y almost everyday, and spending time working on the ZocialNET, developing a website for this company, college admissions stuff, and my senior exit graduation project. I mean I put a lot of time into my senior graduation project, I’ve made a website and a documentary, and I’m preparing for my final presentation on December 11th.

I’ve been low on money lately as well. I recently got the Paypal debit, so I’m hoping my little bits of money will transfer into it soon. I have to buy a lot of supplies for my senior graduation project product, I did the website, but I also want to include a model of a futuristic peaceful city on Mars, much like the city on Ergo Proxy.

So much has happened, but never really had the time to post it. I’ve been getting worried about college, I haven’t applied to many colleges at all because of my low money, college applications are so damn expensive! That’s why I’m hoping on getting an acceptance letter from UNCA on the 15th of this December, so I can stop applying to colleges, well that is if I don’t get accepted to NCState. I haven’t applied to a single college out of state, I simply won’t be able to afford it, not even with the money I get from the Marines, I really don’t care, UNCA offers a under-grad program in Mechatronics, and that’s what I want. It will set me up for Biomechatronics grad program at MIT.

Speaking of MIT, I submitted my project to MIT THINK 15 days ago. I’m excited, I hope I win. I’ve been thinking of Verdis so much, and I need a new computer to setup a repository on it. Not only that, but I’ve been thinking about working off FreeBSD…

Speaking of updates, I need to update my WordPress, I don’t even know what version this is, but I know there is a version 2.6.5 out, I’m probably on 2.5, can’t remember, this was setup more than a year ago. ANIME, ANIME, ANIME… I love it, great story’s great stuff. I really like cyberpunk stuff, and short series anime’s. Like so far I’ve seen “Serial Experiments Lain,” which is my absolute favorite, not only is it cyberpunk, but it’s so psychologically disturbing! It’s a great anime, and it’s 13 episodes long. I also enjoyed “School Days,” which is a great love triangle anime, but get’s crazy at the end, very disturbing, but I loved it! My little brother is the one who told me about it, the anime makes me think about him a lot. My little brother has always been able to get girls, lucky him, he was born “cute” I guess. Me, I’m not so lucky, not so cute looking, rather rough, and I’m very shy to the girls I really like, ahahaha, well at least I won’t have to worry about that “School Days” situation. I LOVE WWW.CRUNCHYROLL.COM!

In Newspaper, I’ve been drawing more than usual. I think I can become “go to artist,” I’ve been increasing my skills, and self-style of drawing. I’ve also became a fan of a well-known artist.. Keith Thompson, of http://www.keiththompsonart.com/ – His art is insane! I love it, its great, his photoshop skills are excellent too, his artwork is superb! Someday I hope to be able to draw as good as him, and use photoshop as good as him. I mean, I can draw pretty well, and use Photoshop pretty well, just enough to impress my high school. OH, and at school I also decided to join the “Save Darfur NOW” club. I’m hoping on contributing what I can for the cause.

Like I said early, the ZocialNET. Well the “.ZocialNET/” which is coming out of the box more, unique interface and design, and “the system” I must say I think is better than Facebook, and MySpace. I also set it up to where you HAVE to be invited to join the system, that way the ZocialNET won’t accumulate a bunch of losers, and bots, and un-wanted people on the network. Other projects in the ZocialNET I’m working towards are the a social visualization system, based off the JIT ( Javascript Information Visualization Toolkit) which is superb! A system where you can visualize the social interaction between each user is what I’m aiming for an JIT has the tools to make it happen, but of course this will take several months of development before I can integrate it into the ZocialNET. I also built the ZocialNET with a CLI, and IDE, which I think are pretty neat and handy. The CLI provides news, an the IDE are for people who want to get involved. I also ended up making a small, sweet looking home base interface for the ZocialNET. I thin it looks, and works great! Now I just have to fix the eyeOS…

hmmm… soo much has happened, and so much is about to happen. I’ve watched “A Victim of the Brain” a docu-drama on Google videos, which was great, and very interesting, it’s about cognitive science and the brain. I learned more about the conscious of the brain, and how WE ARE victims of the brain, because some things are just pre-defined, which define our choices. I learned there is NO free-will, but there is desires. I think it’s really interesting and that everyone should take a look at it. More about a victim of the brain: a 1988 film by Dutch director Piet Hoenderdos, loosely based on The Mind’s I, a compilation of texts and stories on the philosophy of mind and self, co-edited by Douglas Hofstadter and Daniel C. Dennett. The film weaves interviews with Hofstadter with adaptations of several works in the book: Dennett’s Where am I?, The Soul of the Mark III Beast by Terrel Miedaner, and also the short story The Seventh Sally by Stanis?aw Lem. I’m also getting ready to setup a new layout on the website one last time today. Hopefully everyone will like it, and it’ll be a surprise. It’s more personalized, and efficient.

In school I’ve been reading “Dracula” good but not my style. Out of school I’ve been listening to the Audiobook of “Little Brother” by Cory Doctorow! Which is excellent cyberpunk book, all about hacking and stuff. Reminds me of the good ol’ telnet days etc… when it was cool to be a super geek, well it still is too me! w1ld3833zt!!! lol Anyways, I say check out the book. MIT THINK TechFair 2009, I ENTERED

Recently, i joined FastWeb to apply for some scholarships. So I came across a MIT scholarship, its not much, but their are additional benefits from winning. The theme of the contest is “A Cubed: Accurate, Affordable, Accessible Technologies,” and I already have mine I’m working on. A computer with an operating system that is accessible from anywhere on the web. Well, Verdis OS, integrated with the ZocialNET web protocol eyeOS. I am including the eyeOS desktop as an internet desktop additional to Verdis. So it will be Verdis 1.2, and will include the ZocialNET. Web 2.0 engineered to work with Verdis basically.

Accurate: I plan it to be accurate, it will be debugged several times. C’mon it’s Linux + Web 2.0, so errorless.

Affordable: The operating system is free… besides that the computer is a Mini-ITX type, and will be sold at $60, that includes the OS. It is affordable for anyone who needs a nice computer, and operating system to handle all they need, without purchasing additional software and license.
- I believe that an OS should come packed with everything the user will need, that means they shouldn’t have to buy or install additional software to get the job done. Other than games, and misc./ media type apps everything should be included.

Accessible Technology: The operating system can be downloaded online, other than that the ZocialNET is accessible from the web. So users will be able to access there desktop and files from the internet. The computer hardware can be bought from me, hopefully that is accessible enough. If not I will come up with soemthing…
